PhoneGuard
Once a vehicle speed reaches 10 miles per hour as detected by global positioning satellite (GPS) tracking, the application locks the phone's keyboard, preventing the user from emailing, surfing the web or texting while driving and automatically sends a customized pre-set response that is delivered to the texter or caller that reads, for example "I am driving and will contact you when I reach my destination."
Request Permission is another great feature that enables a passenger in a moving vehicle to request permission for a temporary override from the Administrator.

April 24, 2012 - PhoneGuard featured in PCWorld article, Car Tech: The Ultimate Backseat Driver by Rick Jensen - "Whether you're texting, emailing, or surfing the Web behind the wheel, distracted driving increases your chances of having an accident. [...] Once you reach 10 mph, PhoneGuard locks your phone's keyboard and suspends the phone's text, email, and Web functions. The app responds to incoming texts via Text Block with Auto Reply. The PhoneGuard Premium upgrade, which starts at [around] $20 a year, adds many other features."

A Message from Justin:

I get it. I know it's tempting to text and drive. Well, maybe it's time to take responsibility for our actions. If someone texts you while you are driving, let them wait. You are more important than a text could ever be. And, if you know you are tempted to text back, now there's PhoneGuard, the smart phone app that manages your texts on the road - keeping you safe!
